ALPACAS AND FRIENDS YARN

Alpaca blended with other natural fibers such as llama, mohair, silk, merino, cormo and bamboo for different looks with alpaca.

The alpaca fiber is all from our Hickory Bluff Farms herd, then we've met some nice other animals to complement the alpaca.

Here are some factoids:

Mohair comes from Angora Goats

Llamas are cousins to alpacas, and sometimes their fiber is really nice!

Merino and Cormo are special breeds of sheep that blends really nicely with alpaca

Silk is spun by silk worms, primarily found in the Orient. Then there's Soy Silk, which comes from soybeans in the US.

Bamboo is grown in many places, then processed to make a very soft fiber.
